SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION for the beneficiaries of Scheme of Community Development through Polytechnics of Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, Salem at Sankagiri Community Development Extension Centre.

The Scheme of Community Development through Polytechnics, sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India is functioning in Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, Salem. Certificate Distribution function for the successful candidates was held at Balaji Industrial Training Institute, Oonjakorai, Sankagiri (Community Development Extension Centre for Sankagiri Block of Salem District). Dr.V.Karthikeyan, Principal, Thiagarajar Polytechnic College presided over the function.

During his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of Skill Development Training, Employment Opportunities, Individual Discipline, Environmental Protection etc. Subsequently, he gave away the certificates to the successful candidates, followed by distribution of saplings.

Cottage Industries Registration Certificate issued by the District Industries Centre, Govt of Tamil Nadu, Salem for initiate self employment in living place of the participant and for the purpose of availing bank loans were also issued to the candidates.

Ms. Vasantha, Dt Panchayat Vice President, Ms.Santhamani, President of Sankagiri Panchayat Union, Ms Anbarasi and Mr.Setti Goundan, Block Development Officers, Ms.L.Poongodi, President of Chinnagoundar Panchayat and Mr.R.Poomalai, President of Devannagoundnoor Panchayat participated in the function.

All arrangements for the function were made by Scheme of Community Development through Polytechnics, Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, Salem.
