Welcome To Sona Yukti
Sona Yukti was established to impart demand-driven and market relevant courses to address skill development and training. Sona Yukti's objectives are sustainable transformation through learning and skills development, improving business productivity, and enhancing youth employability and entrepreneurship.
Sona Yukti is a part of the Sona Valliappa Group, a premier business group in India. The group has been a pioneer in India's growth story in the textiles industry, banking, agriculture, and other industries since the 1920's. Building on this success, the group forayed into the world of IT in the 1980s, building the first software technological park in India in the heart of Bangalore.
In the year 2000, they launched a global strategic services company that provides world-class business process outsourcing to industries across a wide range of verticals. Read more
The group's focus on business has been matched only by its commitment to education. Sona College of Technology, Sona School of Management, and Thiagarajar Polytechnic Institute have empowered thousands of students to become world-class professionals in the fields of engineering, healthcare, management, research, etc. At the same time it has been observed that, once out of the formal education system, a growing number of youths show up in the unemployment statistics. The employability of youth continues to be a major challenge as employers complain of job seekers lacking the skills, attitudes, and knowledge required in the world of work. Our interventions in this field seek to contribute towards improving access to quality training that has a long-term impact while being aligned to the manpower needs of the industrial clusters.
Sona Yukti is proud to be a partner of the Government of India’s Digital India Program, called PMGDISHA (Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan). By becoming a PMGDISHA franchise, Sona Yukti will make it possible for everyone in rural India to become skilled at using digital applications that impact various areas such as healthcare, education, retail, etc.
Our aim is to:Provide vocational skills training that result in job opportunities. Lend a hand in building confidence and developing the essential skills needed to succeed in the professional world. Fulfill the labor demands of high-growth sectors. Give wings to entrepreneurs
We have evolved a curriculum and training methodology along a framework of ‘Know and Do’, that provides a unique learning experience combining theory with real life application. This makes the curriculum entirely practical in nature and simulates real-life working conditions. The students also get full industry-oriented training which is supported with industrial visits, expert talks, seminars, etc. As a result, the skills attained enable students to reach their career aspirations and goals and participate in the world of business with poise.
