In this course a candidate will learn about displaying merchandise, interacting with customers, and understanding their needs in order to provide the best service. The course content will cover:
Display stocks to promote sales in a retail store - the participants will learn about preparing the display area, gathering material and equipment. They will learn to set up, dismantle, and label the display.
Plan and display visual merchandise – to be able to interpret design briefs, identify equipment, materials, merchandise and props needed to create and install the display and the dates for completing it. Evaluate the place to put the display and create new and effective ways of improving the visual effect.
Assess and features of merchandise and props – to be able to source alternate ones whenever necessary; plan and schedule delivery; maintain records of stock.
Prepare products for sale and provide information on loyalty schemes – such as removing packaging, assembling, and quality check. Participants will learn how to advise customers on the benefits and advantages of loyalty schemes. They will also learn how treat, speak to customers, and answer queries.
Maintain security in a store – by relating to security risks so that they can prevent issues from occurring either by reporting it to the right authority or taking remedial action.
Health and Safety – Participants will learn about health and safety issues related to them at work. They will learn to follow standards and procedures, especially while using equipment and hazardous material, health, safety and hygiene in the store.
The training will cover all technical skills and soft skills with particular emphasis on professional behavior, etiquette, verbal and non-verbal communication.
The approach is interactive, where the participants learn by doing. The sessions will be theoretical as well as practical. On completing the training the candidate will be proficient to successfully execute their duties as a trainee associate in a retail setting.
